"What's the reason you teach me that I should restrain indignation in technique?"
"Because you should cling to what is mutable yet seek the permanent principle."
What is Taekwondo? It is the art of one skill. Taekwondo begins at one skill and gets complete in the one skill. Its beginning and its end are same. Taekwondo is in nothing more than the one simple skill. Not that you should perform it in its use to spar with your opponent but rather that you should become the skill itself. You are one. You have to practice numerous techniques to complete a good Taekwondo, in which you should master your own one skill that penetrates those various techniques and discard everything else. As a weapon that is a part of you surpasses numerous ones this one skill, which is a part of you, capably suppresses down hundreds ones. Yourself whom you should guard is one and the opponent you should control over is also one.
Because your self is the very skill, doing it is natural and not prominent. Thus, the opponent cannot recognize it, and even though he recognizes it he cannot defend it. The one skill is not simple one but that that contains all techniques in one, therefore, though simple, it includes boundless changes. While you use it in momentary performance you can get it only after your steady training of long time in daily life. For it is the principle of Taekwondo to control over the opponent with a part that is an end of the entirety. Taekwondo is simple. Taekwondo is in a moment. The crossroad of life and death is in a moment.
