The Way of Mind Control
TAEKWONDO is the way of mind control, and it is morality and etiquette. "No matter how flexible a body might be it cannot be more flexible than mind, and no matter how fast you may walk you cannot move faster than your mind, and although you had a hard body with abundant power they would be of no use without your mind to use them. Therefore, only when you control your mind at will you can accord smoothness, speed and power in each movement to the best of your ability."(Ch.53) Thus, the ultimate Ilgiyae can be completed only by mind control.
What did I tell you by means of Taekwondo? It is morality. Every motion of Taekwondo reveals actions of your mind, so its right principle refers to the way of mind. This is very morality, and etiquette. Thus, we say TAEKWONDO is morality. Reflecting all that sages have told us, they always have been concentrated on man's mind and morality only. Now that you saw explanation of Taekwondo's motions and its principles that is supported by sage's words you can see TAEKWONDO is morality by itself.
